Heatwave continues to prevail in most parts of the country as predicted by the Meteorological Department during the period from 20th to 24th June.
According to the Meteorological Department, today the federal capital Islamabad, along with most areas of the country, will experience severe hot and humid weather, with dusty winds and the possibility of thunderstorms in some rural areas.
Sindh, Punjab, most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the eastern and southwestern regions of Balochistan are expected to remain extremely hot, while Gilgit-Baltistan will also experience intense heat and dry weather for the next twenty-four hours. In Azad Kashmir, isolated places may witness gusty winds and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.
In Balochistan, heavy rainfall is expected in Quetta, Loralai, Zhob, Barkhan, and surrounding areas, along with gusty winds and lightning.
