Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has paused the hearing of the main appeals against the convictions of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the Nikah case.
The hearing was presided over by Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Mujoka. PTI’s assistant lawyer, Murtaza Toori, appeared in court. At the start of the hearing, the PTI assistant lawyer informed the court that Barrister Salman Safdar was on his way and would arrive within 20 minutes. He requested the court to pause the hearing until Salman Safdar’s arrival.
Subsequently, the court decided to pause the hearing until Salman Safdar arrived.
It is noteworthy that on July 9, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court postponed the hearing of the main appeals against the convictions of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, until the next day.
Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court dismissed the review petition against the order to decide the main appeals in the Nikah case involving former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, within a month.
