In a tragic accident near Obaro, Ghotki, a collision between a bus and a trailer resulted in the deaths of 8 passengers, while 7 others were injured.
According to the Motorway Police, the passenger bus was traveling from Punjab to Karachi when it met with an accident on Motorway M-5 near Obaro in Ghotki. Among the deceased are 2 women and 2 children.
Authorities have reported that all the injured are in critical condition. Police and rescue teams have transferred the bodies and the injured to the hospital.
The Motorway Police mentioned that rescue efforts were hampered due to rain.
In a separate incident, near Basti Nunari in Liaquatpur, an oil tanker collided with a trailer that was parked for repairs, resulting in 4 individuals sustaining severe injuries. They have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
