As a result of the sinking of the migrant boat in the West African country of Senegal, 26 passengers died and dozens went missing.
According to the report of the British Broadcasting Corporation, the boat departed from the city of Embor, 80 km from the capital of Senegal, carrying more than 100 passengers, but sank after traveling only 4 km.

The majority of the passengers on the boat were young people who wanted to enter Spain in search of a better future, with Senegalese nationals also on board, as well as Guinean, Mauritanian, and Gambian nationals.
