Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said that only Pakistanis can bring economic stability to Pakistan through a bailout.
Speaking to the business community in Karachi, he expressed his unwavering belief in Pakistan’s bright and stable future, stating that the clouds of despair that loomed a year ago have now dissipated.
“I had previously said that despair is forbidden for Muslims. All economic indicators are positive today and will improve further by next year. Where are those who spread despair and talked about default? Shouldn’t they be held accountable?”
He emphasized that nothing, including politics, is above the country. “We must prioritize Pakistan over personal interests. The state is like a mother, and the people of Libya, Iraq, and Palestine can understand its value.”
“Remember, we have no identity apart from Pakistan. No matter the challenges, no one can harm us if we stand together,” he said.
Addressing the business community, he urged them to bring their wealth to Pakistan to benefit the people and the country’s development. He highlighted that those who support terrorism often engage in illegal businesses.
He further stated that specific elements back such illegal activities and emphasized that protecting digital borders and ensuring the digital security of citizens is the state’s responsibility.
