According to the details, the conflict between the PPP and the federal government intensified over the project to build 6 canals on the Indus River.
In his video statement in this regard, former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that if the objections of Sindh and Balochistan are not heard, then the whole project will be controversial. Establish a consensus by talking to the people, imposing your opinion by force will harm the country, and imposing an opinion by force will affect politics, agriculture, and the economy.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the effort is not to create a controversial project like the Kala Bagh Dam, if the objections are not removed, then the entire project will become controversial, just as the Kala Bagh Dam project became controversial, the same will happen with this one. The government should not take such a step that makes good plans controversial, take decisions together that are for the benefit of the country.
Chairman People’s Party further said that the federal government should consider its decision, we will try to explain to the federal government, People’s Party will share the plan of Green Sindh with the federal government, and the federal government should also share its points with us.
He also said that the People’s Party considers agriculture as the backbone of the economy, we have planned to support agriculture, and we want the success of the project to make Sindh green.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the farmers want to benefit from the Sindh Green project, and they want to start cooperative farming in the settled areas in the first phase. Support and assistance from the federal government will encourage small landowners.
It should be noted that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is angry about the project initiated by the federal government regarding the distribution of water in Sindh and has already said that the People’s Party was not consulted on the project of Sindh Canals and was not taken into confidence.
