The Islamabad High Court disposed of the in-camera proceedings on the bail application of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in the cipher case.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had argued in court that since the camera is running in the Cipher case trial court, a request for action on the camera should also be considered in the High Court. This is because sensitive information is involved, and presenting such information and documents in court cannot be made public.
Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court, Amir Farooq, while giving a verdict on FIA’s application, said that the bail application in the cipher case will be heard in open court on October 9.
The court ruling said that arguments on information or documents identified as sensitive by the lawyers would be heard in camera.
