In Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces acted on a tip-off where 10 terrorists were killed. During the operation, there was an exchange of fire between the terrorists and the army personnel.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), it was said that the action was taken on the basis of information about the presence of terrorists in the district.
The statement said that during the operation, there was an exchange of fire between the terrorists and the army personnel, as a result of which 10 terrorists were killed.
ISPR said that a large number of arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered during the operation and the operation was appreciated by the citizens.
The statement said that the armed forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
Prior to September 29, security forces conducted separate operations against terrorists in the districts of Mardan and Parachinar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In these operations, a highly wanted terrorist commander was killed, and there was an exchange of fire in which a Pakistani soldier was also martyred.
