From September 1, the prices of petroleum products are likely to decrease further.
According to the report of Moqar English newspaper, the price of petrol may decrease by 3 rupees 10 paise per liter while the price of diesel may decrease by 2 rupees 50 paise per liter.
Due to the reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the global market, the prices are being reduced in the local market. The price of kerosene is likely to decrease by Rs 1.39 paise per liter.
According to the report, the government is currently finalizing the exact figures taking into account the current rates of petroleum levy and general sales tax.
Over the past two weeks, the price of crude oil has fallen from $2 to $2.30 per barrel.
