A new reservoir of oil and gas has been discovered in the Sanghar district of Sindh.
The oil and gas reservoir was discovered by the Oil and Gas Exploration Service. Drilling of the well in Sanjhuru Block Sambar Formation started in February.
According to the spokesperson of OGDCL, 388 barrels of crude oil and 6.8 million cubic feet of gas per day will be obtained from the well named Baloch Two.
The discovery of oil and gas in the Sanjhuru block of the Sambar Formation has increased the prospect of new discoveries. Drilling of the Baloch Two well was started in February 2024.
According to the spokesperson OGDCL, oil and gas reserves were discovered after drilling up to 3920 meters. This new discovery will open a new way of prosperity and development in the area.
