Lahore: Significant Decrease in Chicken Meat Prices.
According to the official price list, the retail price of live broiler chicken has been set at 398 rupees per kilogram, while the wholesale price is fixed at 384 rupees. These prices are determined based on the availability and demand of chicken in the market, providing consumers with the benefit of lower prices.
Yesterday, the price of farm eggs was 307 rupees per dozen; however, it has now increased by two rupees, bringing the price to 309 rupees per dozen. This is another example of price increases that could impact consumers’ budgets.
Chicken meat prices vary in other cities of the country. The Lahore administration has also issued new rates for vegetables and fruits. According to the new price list, the price of first-grade onions is 125 rupees per kilogram, potatoes 88 rupees, tomatoes 115 rupees, and green chilies 200 rupees per kilogram.
Additionally, ginger is being sold at 750 rupees per kilogram, local garlic at 410 rupees, farm cucumbers at 80 rupees, fenugreek at 90 rupees, eggplants at 90 rupees, cauliflower at 110 rupees, and turnips at 120 rupees per kilogram. These prices are determined based on supply and demand in various markets.
The price of Shimla peppers is set at 370 rupees per kilogram, Chinese lemons at 90 rupees per kilogram, peas at 310 rupees per kilogram, bottle gourd at 80 rupees per kilogram, and bitter gourd at 130 rupees per kilogram.
According to the official price list, black apples are selling at 235 rupees per kilogram, Chaunsa mangoes at 135 rupees per kilogram, and first-grade bananas at 130 rupees per dozen. All these prices have been issued for the convenience of consumers so they can make better decisions for their daily needs.
