For the U.S. presidential elections, the vote-counting process will begin tomorrow, and polling stations have been set up in unique and unusual locations for citizens to cast their votes.
The American newspaper The New York Times has published a list of some such polling stations created for tomorrow’s elections.
“Wash Your Clothes First, Then Vote!”
In the Chicago neighborhood of Chicago Lawn, there is no designated building for voting, so a polling booth has been set up in a laundry area. This arrangement makes it very convenient for locals to cast their votes, allowing them to do laundry and vote at the same time.
The laundry manager commented that this decision is beneficial for business, as having a polling station here helps bring in customers. However, there is sometimes a little confusion when people habitually present their laundry cards instead of voter IDs.
Additionally, polling stations have also been set up in coffee cafes, flight schools, and gaming clubs for the U.S. elections.
It’s worth noting that voting will take place tomorrow in the U.S. presidential elections, with nearly 160 million people eligible to participate.
