Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will attend the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in India, according to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Zahra Baloch.
The statement said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will visit the Indian city of Goa next month with the delegation, where he will also hold meetings with various leaders who are part of the summit’s schedule.
Pakistan participates in the SCO summit due to its long-standing affiliation with the organization, and the fourth ministerial meeting on climate protection was held in New Delhi online.
In the meeting held in New Delhi, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Climate Change, Sherry Rehman, stressed the need for joint efforts at the regional level to combat environmental stability and climate change.
In addition to the SCO’s efforts to control the current situation and preventive measures, the organization also held an administrative meeting. At the meeting, Salim Shahzad Malik, Director of the National Disaster Management Authority, represented Pakistan.
