Karachi has issued an advisory against the rapid spread of influenza virus in the city of Quaid, citizens are suffering from cold, cough and fever due to the virus.
According to the details, the Sindh Health Department has issued an advisory on the increasing flu virus in Karachi, in which it has been said that people are suffering from cold, cough and fever due to the increasing influenza virus in the city.
Medical experts said that pregnant women, young children and people over 65 years of age with chronic diseases can be more affected by the virus.
In the advisory, the hospitals have been directed to keep the infected patients in isolation and the public is requested to cover the nose and mouth with a tissue while coughing and sneezing and throw the used tissue in a covered trash can.
The Sindh Health Department says to wash hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap or handwash, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth and eat nutritious food.
In the ongoing advisory, it is recommended to get adequate sleep and maintain physical distancing. Those who are susceptible to diseases like the flu should stay at home for at least twenty-four hours until the fever subsides and avoid contact with more people.
Use a face mask when coughing and sneezing, avoid travel by infected people and maintain good ventilation in closed spaces.
