After the approval of the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, a notification has been issued to give the status of a full division to the secret agency Intelligence Bureau.
The notification states that the Intelligence Bureau Division will function under the Cabinet Secretariat.
It should be noted that earlier the Intelligence Bureau was a department which has now been formally made a division, the DG Intelligence Bureau will also be the Secretary.
Sources say that this decision has been taken to further improve the financial affairs of the Intelligence Bureau.
