Russian President Vladimir Putin has won the presidential election according to preliminary results. Millions of voters exercised their right to vote at 230 polling stations around the world outside of Russia.
The voting process for the presidential election in Russia has been completed and all the polling stations have been closed.
Voting for the presidential election in Russia continued from March 15 to 17.
According to Russian media, 74 percent of the 11.23 million voters had cast their votes by the time the polling stations closed.
For the first time in Russia’s presidential election, voting took place in Kherson and Donetsk regions, while the highest turnout in Russia’s presidential election was in Chechnya, with 96 percent voting.
