Islamabad: Preparations are underway to drop another electricity bomb on the public; a request has been made to increase electricity prices following the hike in gas prices.
According to the details, there is no sign of relief in electricity prices for the people of Pakistan even after the arrival of the new government. The price of electricity is likely to increase by Rs 5 per unit.
An additional burden of 40 billion rupees will be imposed on electricity consumers. CPPA has submitted a request for increase to Nepra.
The increase has been sought in February’s monthly fuel adjustment. Nepra Authority will hear this application on March 28.
