In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the polling for the Senate elections could not start at the scheduled time of 9 am, even though the arrangements for the Senate elections were complete and the election staff was also present.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the opposition members submitted a request to postpone the Senate elections.
Ahmed Karim Kundi of the opposition submitted an application to the Provincial Election Commissioner in which the position was adopted that 25 of their members have not been sworn in yet.
The provincial election commissioner contacted the chief election commissioner on the opposition’s request, after which the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were postponed until further notice.
