Intense heatwave grips Punjab and Sindh; Sun scorching fields in rural areas

The heat wave continues in Punjab and Sindh, while the plains are likely to be affected by the heat wave. The Meteorological Department has predicted a new system of western winds on May 10.

According to the PDMA spokesperson, there is a possibility of 5 degree rise in day temperature in Punjab till May 10 and the plains are also likely to be affected by the heat wave.

On the other hand, Karachi may experience warm and humid weather today as well. According to the Meteorological Department, the city’s temperature could exceed 37 degrees Celsius. This morning, the minimum temperature recorded was 28 degrees Celsius with an increase of one degree.

On Thursday morning in Karachi, the humidity level remained at 75 percent. The increase in humidity was felt due to the cool breeze and mist during the night. The city may continue to experience warm and humid weather for the next several days. There is no possibility of a heatwave during this partial surge of heat.

In most districts of the province, dusty conditions are expected until May 12, with possibilities of thunder and rain accompanied by lightning. According to the spokesperson, there is a possibility of stormy rain in southern Punjab districts on May 10 and 11. Following the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the administration has been put on alert.
