In Adiala Jail, the hearing of a £190 million reference took place, during which the testimony of two witnesses was completed. The court also accepted Bushra Bibi’s request and directed the superintendent of Adiala Jail to conduct medical examinations.
According to details, in the £190 million reference at Adiala Jail, statements of 190 witnesses have been recorded so far, with cross-examination completed for 24 witnesses. During today’s hearing, cross-examination was completed for two witnesses, while initial cross-examination was conducted for two additional witnesses. During the hearing, PTI Chairman’s counsel, Bushra Bibi, was presented in the courtroom from the jail. The accused’s lawyers, including Usman Gul, Zahir Abbas Chaudhry, and others, and prosecutors from NAB, including Chaudhry Nazar, Irfan Bhola, and Sahil Aarif, appeared in court.
The hearing of the reference was conducted by Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Ali Warraich. The next hearing will include the completion of cross-examination for both witnesses who will be included in the initial cross-examination on July 2nd.
