According to the report from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 104 people have lost their lives, and 206 have been injured during the ongoing monsoon rains across the country. Overall, 1,490 homes have been damaged.
The NDMA report states that in the past month, 104 people have died, and 216 have been injured in various accidents due to the torrential rains in different regions of the country. The storms have damaged 490 homes, and 118 livestock have perished in the floods.
The report indicates that Punjab suffered the most fatalities due to the monsoon rains, with 39 deaths, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 34, Sindh with 22, Balochistan with 5, Azad Kashmir with 3, and Gilgit-Baltistan with 1 confirmed death.
During the rains, various accidents resulted in 113 injuries in Punjab, 79 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11 in Azad Kashmir, 9 in Balochistan, and 3 in Sindh.
Furthermore, the report states that over the past month, 126 homes have been destroyed, and 364 have sustained partial damage due to the torrential rains across the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been affected the most, with 382 homes damaged, followed by Punjab with 61, Gilgit-Baltistan with 22, Sindh with 13, Azad Kashmir with 7, and Balochistan with 5 homes impacted.
