The spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, Matthew Miller, stated that there is no truth to the claim that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, would be released if Donald Trump wins the election.
During a press briefing, a journalist asked about PTI leader Latif Khosa’s statement that if Donald Trump wins the elections, the PTI founder will be released. Matthew Miller responded, “How many times do I have to say that this is not true? The legal actions against the former Prime Minister are a matter for Pakistani courts, and the decisions regarding them must also be made by Pakistani courts.”
Matthew Miller also mentioned that they have said multiple times that allegations of U.S. involvement in the ousting of Imran Khan from the Prime Minister’s office are false, stating that the U.S. played no role in the removal of the PTI founder. Pakistani politics must be determined by the Pakistani people in accordance with their laws and constitution.
When asked about allegations from the Canadian government claiming that Indian Federal Minister Amit Shah is involved in a conspiracy to kill Sikhs, the U.S. State Department spokesperson responded that the allegations made by Canada are concerning, and they will continue consultations with the government regarding these claims.
