According to the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Wing (ISPR), security forces launched an operation in the Baka Khel area of Bannu upon receiving information about the presence of militants, resulting in an intense exchange of fire. During the operation, eight militants were killed and seven were injured, while Pakistan Army Major Atif Khalil, Naik Azadullah, and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas embraced martyrdom. Major Atif Khalil, aged 31, was a Sudhnoti, Azad Kashmir resident.
Among the martyred personnel, Naik Azadullah, aged 36, hailed from District Karak, and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas, aged 35, was a resident of District Layyah. ISPR stated that a sanitization operation continues in the area to eliminate any remaining militants, affirming the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism.
In another operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, Balochistan, security forces conducted an operation based on intelligence reports on October 29 and 30. During the encounter, one militant was killed, and another was injured. ISPR reported the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the militants, with a sanitization operation ongoing in the area to neutralize any additional threats.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson stated that the sacrifices of brave soldiers strengthen the nation’s resolve against terrorism, and security forces remain committed to thwarting any attempts to disrupt the peace, stability, and progress in Balochistan.
