A meeting of the parliamentary party of PPP was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto in which former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, Nair Bukhari and other leaders participated.
In the meeting, it was decided not to participate in the by-elections of the People’s Party and in this regard, the PP candidates were taken into confidence. By-elections are to be held on 16 and 19 March on 64 seats of the National Assembly.
It should be remembered that other parties of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and PDM have already decided not to participate in these elections, but People’s Party disagreed with this position and had started their election campaign in different constituencies.
On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League (N) was of the view that participating in these short term elections is a waste of funds, energy and time and now after the efforts of Maulana Fazal ur Rehman and the leadership of Muslim League (N) all the PDM The parties have come to a page, now they will not participate in the elections.
