The Government of Balochistan has imposed Section 144 across the province due to the law and order situation.
According to the notification issued by the Balochistan Home Department, a complete ban has been imposed on carrying weapons and gatherings of more than five people.
The notification stated that during the enforcement of Section 144, strict action will be taken against any illegal gatherings and the use of weapons.
It is worth noting that a sit-in and protest for the recovery of missing student Muhammad Musawar has been ongoing at Serena Chowk in Quetta for the past 9 days.
Additionally, on November 25, all political parties have announced a wheel-jam strike across Balochistan.
It should also be noted that yesterday, the Punjab Government imposed Section 144 for three days, effective from November 23 to November 25.
The Punjab Home Department issued a notification regarding Section 144, under which all forms of protests, rallies, processions, sit-ins, public gatherings, and other political activities are banned across the province for three days.
The notification mentioned that the decision to enforce Section 144 was made to maintain peace and order and protect human lives and property.
