Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has termed Bushra Bibi’s statement regarding Saudi Arabia as the “biggest hostility against Pakistan.” He stated that Saudi Arabia is a sincere, reliable friend and a brotherly Islamic country, and speaking venomously against it is an unforgivable offense.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony for restoring the Kachhi Canal in Taunsa, the Prime Minister said that Saudi Arabia has always been Pakistan’s friend and brotherly country. Regardless of the government in power, Saudi Arabia has always extended support without discrimination and never made any demands in return, which deserves the highest praise. He highlighted that Pakistan has agreements worth billions of dollars with Saudi Arabia, and King Salman holds goodwill for Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Saudi Arabia has always acted like a brother, and such statements can harm the country. He warned that “they are spreading a poison in society, the consequences of which they cannot comprehend.”
During the inauguration of the Kachhi Canal restoration, the Prime Minister said that the project was completed with the cooperation of the Punjab government. He congratulated the Chief Ministers of Balochistan and Punjab for the successful restoration, noting that the project was previously mishandled during Pervez Musharraf’s era, wasting the poor nation’s resources. The project was initiated during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure and has now been completed. He credited Nawaz Sharif as the true benefactor of this initiative.
He further stated that the Kachhi Canal suffered significant damage during the 2022 floods. The second phase of the Kachhi Canal will also be completed, and resources will be provided for the next phase.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that hardworking Chief Ministers have been appointed in Balochistan and Punjab, which will help resolve the issues faced by the people of both provinces.
He also mentioned ongoing projects in Punjab, such as the work on a cancer hospital and the distribution of free tractors, which will revolutionize the agricultural sector. He added that Maryam Nawaz’s efforts are commendable, and their positive impact will be visible soon.
