All universities across the country have been mandated to offer Quranic education as a compulsory subject for obtaining a degree. All Muslim students will be taught the Holy Quran with translation and tajweed.
The Higher Education Commission has issued a notification to all universities stating that no grades or credits will be given for Quranic education.
According to their notification, for undergraduate students, this education will become mandatory from the autumn semester of 2023.
All Muslim students will be provided with daily Quranic education, including translation and recitation.
