The Meteorological Department has released the outlook report for June, July, and August 2023. Temperatures are likely to be normal or above normal during monsoon.
According to the report, there is a possibility of monsoon rains in Pakistan’s northern areas starting from July, and the monsoon season is expected to continue until September. During this period, normal or below-normal rainfall is expected.
As per the Meteorological Department, slightly above-average rainfall is expected in the northern regions, while there is a possibility of temperatures being normal or slightly above normal during the monsoon season.
The report mentions that due to heavy rainfall, urban flooding, flash flooding, and the melting of glaciers, there could be an increase in water flow in rivers.
