Today, clouds of the monsoon season will bring rainfall to the city.The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and rain with lightning in Karachi today.
In a statement, the Meteorological Department stated that the city will experience monsoon clouds and rainfall, while gusty winds and lightning accompanied by rain are expected in the outskirts of the city.
The department mentioned that clouds have already formed at a distance from Karachi, and rain is currently ongoing in the Kirthar Range. The rain system may spread to the outskirts of the city until tonight. If the situation persists, western and northern regions may also come under the influence of rain.
A few days ago, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz had forecasted monsoon showers in Karachi until July 8th. Additionally, the possibility of clouds and rain in Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper regions was also indicated.
The Meteorological Department stated that thunderstorms and rain with lightning are possible in Karachi on July 7th and 9th. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in the city, while Sukkur, Tharparkar, Thatta, and other districts may experience heavy showers.
