Tosha Khana Case: The court has granted PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s request for exemption from today’s hearing. The hearing of the Tosha Khana case was conducted by Additional Session Judge Humayun Dilawar.
Additional Session Judge Humayun Dilawar presided over the hearing of the Tosha Khana case, with Barrister Gohar, the counsel for PTI Chairman, and Advocate Amjad Parvez, the counsel for the Election Commission, appearing in court.
Barrister Gohar requested the court to postpone the hearing due to the unavailability of counsel Khawaja Haris, to which Advocate Amjad Parvez opposed, stating that there are four lawyers in this case, and they are merely wasting time.
Advocate Amjad Parvez stated that PTI Chairman’s lawyers are using delaying tactics, and their intention is not to present evidence. Khawaja Haris has no court engagements.
Barrister Gohar informed the court that Khawaja Haris is the senior counsel in this case. Subsequently, the court accepted the request for exemption from PTI Chairman’s presence today and adjourned the hearing until tomorrow.
The session judge has issued fresh instructions for Khawaja Haris to appear in court tomorrow.
It is worth noting that Imran Khan did not appear in court yesterday in the Tosha Khana forgery case, for which the court had summoned him today on a personal basis.
On the other hand, the PTI Chairman has challenged the decision to transfer the Tosha Khana trial court to the Supreme Court. The apex court has scheduled the hearing for the request.
