Today, the Lahore High Court is set to hear the appeals of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder against the Anti-Terrorism Court’s (ATC) decision to grant physical remand in 12 cases.
A two-member bench, led by Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, will conduct the hearing. The appeals argue that the ATC Lahore did not properly review the records when granting physical remand. The PTI founder claims to be already imprisoned and states that the police have previously conducted investigations. Additionally, the appeals assert that legal considerations were overlooked in the remand decision.
The request in the appeals is for the High Court to nullify the ATC’s decision of granting physical remand in the 12 cases.
