Pakistani actress Saman Ansari says that an announcement was made in the mosque for her marriage that a girl is available, and those who want to marry should contact her.
Recently, the actress opened up about her life on Ahmad Ali Butt’s podcast and revealed that her first marriage took place at a young age.
Saman Ansari shared in a conversation that when she went from the United States to Canada for higher education, her grandparents suggested arranging her marriage. An announcement was made in the mosque stating that a girl had arrived and was studying and that she was available for marriage. Interested individuals were invited to get in touch.
The actress revealed that there were announcements of relationships in the community only through mosques, at that time there was no social media nor did I have a mobile phone.
Saman said that the first husband saw me on the day we got engaged, during marriage and education, due to my husband’s job, I sometimes moved to America and sometimes to Canada.
During the conversation, the actress said that she had a son but then got divorced. At that time, the son was six years old. After the divorce, she moved to the United Arab Emirates from America and Canada and spent her life in Dubai doing various jobs, according to the divorce laws. She could not move to Pakistan because the condition was that the child’s education should be in the same school where he was studying.
According to Saman Ansari, she also decided not to come to Pakistan because of the taunts divorced women get in Pakistan because she did not want people to tell her parents about her.
The actress said that with the consent of the elders, she got married at a young age, which lasted for 16 years, but then her marriage ended in divorce.
