The polio eradication campaign has started today in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The five-day polio campaign will be conducted in 24 districts, including Karachi and Peshawar.
The polio eradication campaign will continue until 30th June in nine districts of Karachi, Hyderabad, and Jamshoro. The campaign aims to administer polio drops to 1,825,000 children as a preventive measure against polio.
In fifteen districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Mardan, thirty-one lakh nineteen thousand seven hundred fifty children will be administered polio vaccine.
The health department has urged parents to ensure that all children up to the age of five receive the polio vaccine drops, as the decision needs to be made today if we want to prevent children from being affected tomorrow.
