Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s 69th birth anniversary will be celebrated on Saturday, June 21. In this regard, ceremonies for the anniversary will be held at provincial and district offices.
On the occasion of the 69th birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Central Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari has announced nationwide celebrations.
The PPP has announced the commemoration ceremonies for Benazir Bhutto’s anniversary to be held at the provincial and district headquarters across the country.
In a statement issued by Nayyar Bukhari, it was stated that all provincial and district offices of the PPP will organize ceremonies for the anniversary of the martyr Benazir Bhutto, where cakes will be cut to mark the occasion.
He stated that the democratic system prevailing in the country today is the result of the struggles of the late Benazir Bhutto.
It should be noted that Benazir Bhutto, born on June 21, 1953, in the Bhutto family, was a former Prime Minister and the first-born of the founder of the Pakistan People’s Party.
Benazir Bhutto was elected as the country’s Prime Minister twice and she also had the honor of being the first female Prime Minister of Islamic countries.
The former Prime Minister was assassinated on December 27, 2007, at Liaquat Bagh when she was returning after addressing a gathering at Liaquat Bagh.
