Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the responsibility for peace and security lies with the police, and any failures in this regard also fall on the police force. The Sindh government will provide all necessary facilities to the Sindh Police to ensure the restoration of peace and security.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, an important meeting on peace and security was held, particularly focusing on Karachi and the province. The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Shah, Law Advisor Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput, Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IGs, and other high-ranking police officials.
During the meeting at the Chief Minister’s House, Murad Ali Shah assessed the situation of peace and security and issued essential instructions to police officers across all districts to maintain peace and security. He also directed them to take necessary security measures during Muharram-ul-Haram.
The police authorities briefed the Chief Minister on the current law and order situation. However, Chief Minister Sindh expressed concern over the display of arms, increase in incidents of two persons being killed, and crimes against the Hindu community. He emphasized that the responsibility for peace and security lies with the police, and any failures are also their responsibility. He assured that the Sindh government would provide all necessary facilities to the Sindh Police for the restoration of peace and security.
Sources say that a decision was taken during the meeting to carry out a robust operation against those who display arms.
