Torrential rains have wreaked havoc in Balochistan following similar devastation in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Six people have lost their lives, and 13 others have been injured in various incidents.
The cities of Balochistan are facing a critical situation due to the heavy downpour and resulting flash floods.
Reports indicate that the rains and floods have caused extensive damage to infrastructure in the regions of Pasni and coastal areas, with floodwaters entering urban settlements, resulting in the collapse of numerous houses, shops, and hotels.
Furthermore, the torrential rains have destroyed prepared crops in hilly areas.
After the rain in the Awaran areas, the flow of water in the local river increased, there is also a fear of breaking the safety dam.
Various incidents caused by heavy rains have resulted in the loss of six lives and left 13 others injured in different parts of Balochistan.
In a separate incident, heavy rainfall triggered a landslide in the mountainous region of Dadu, Sindh. Additionally, Mehar and Gardo and Nawabshah are submerged in floodwaters in the desert regions.
Moreover, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Khairpur, Kot Diji, Naushehro Feroze, and Padidan, along with other cities of Sindh, have experienced rainfall.
It is evident that the cloud bursts and melting glaciers, coupled with the heavy rains, have led to flooding in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The overflow of rivers is causing severe riverine flooding, and in Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir, four properties, including a mosque, were swept away by floodwaters. The area is facing disruptions in electricity and internet services due to the situation.
