After Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Federal Minister for Water Resources, Khurshid Shah, has also confirmed the shortlisting of 5 names for the caretaker Prime Minister.
Two days ago, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had stated that a list of 5 names for the caretaker Prime Minister has been prepared, and the decision will be made after consulting all coalition partners within a week.
Now, Federal Minister for Water Resources, Khurshid Shah, has also corroborated Khawaja Asif’s statement, stating that 5 names have been shortlisted for the caretaker Prime Minister.
Khurshid Shah did not disclose any names but mentioned that the shortlisted individuals could be politicians or bureaucrats; however, no appointee can be affiliated with any political party.
He said that they it is still unclear who gave the name of Ishaq Dar as the caretaker prime minister, the assemblies will be dissolved on August 9, PDM will take the final decision on who will be the caretaker prime minister.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated in an interview that his government’s term will end on the night of August 12 at 12 o’clock. Before the completion of the term, they will send the summary to the President to dissolve the assemblies.
