Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has announced a reduction of 12 rupees in the price of petrol for the next 15 days. The new price will be Rs 270 per litre.
While announcing the decrease in petroleum prices, Ishaq Dar stated that the prices of petroleum products should be revised from May 16 to May 31. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his government make every effort every month to provide maximum relief to the public based on international market trends.
He said that starting from tonight at 12 o’clock, there will be a reduction of 12 rupees per liter in the price of petrol for the next 15 days. The new price will be less than 282 rupees and will be set at 270 rupees per liter.
Ishaq Dar further stated that there will be a reduction of 30 rupees per liter in the price of high-speed diesel, and the new price will be less than 288 rupees, set at 258 rupees per liter.
He also mentioned that there will be a decrease of 12 rupees per liter in the price of kerosene oil, and the new price will be less than 176 rupees and will be set at 164 rupees and 7 paisas per liter.
He stated that there will also be a reduction in the price of light diesel oil used in tube wells and similar items.
The Finance Minister said that the price of light diesel oil will be less than 164 rupees and 68 paisas, set at 152 rupees and 68 paisas per liter.
He added that there will be a decrease in the prices of petroleum products starting from May 16.
