Leaders and legal experts of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have stated that there were no barriers from Liberty Chowk to Commander House in a span of one and a half hours. They urge the Inspector General of Punjab to explain where the obstacles were.
They claim that the PPP and Bilawal Bhutto were not part of the Supreme Court sit-in protest yesterday. They question the purpose behind the manner of speech and expressions used by Maryam Nawaz, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, and others. They posed the question in a sarcastic tone, asking if their intention was to remove the Chief Justice.
They further state that it was the same Chief Justice who held a court session in the middle of the night for their sake, and it was due to this Chief Justice that Imran Khan’s government was ousted.
These individuals were the ones who praised Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial’s decisions at the time of the vote of no confidence. It was due to their lack of confidence that they succeeded against the Chief Justice.
They express their belief that if the Chief Justice were to remain in office now, they would consider him as good as dead. Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, and Maryam Nawaz desire to render him incapable.
