Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has formally requested former Prime Minister Imran Khan to appear on May 18th for a personal hearing.
Imran Khan has been summoned by the National Crime Agency in a £190 million scandal, and the Chairman of the PTI has also received a questionnaire. It has been stated in the notice that Imran Khan has been directed to bring relevant documents related to the case.
The court has ordered Imran Khan to appear before NAB when summoned and cooperate with the investigation.
The notice also directs the submission of documents related to the case.
It is worth noting that the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, was arrested by NAB on May 9th in connection with the £190 million scandal, after which his supporters staged protests and sit-ins across the country.
The Islamabad High Court had ordered Imran Khan to be included in the investigation. The court stated that if Imran Khan obstructs the investigation, NAB can request the cancellation of his bail. Imran Khan must appear before the investigation whenever required.
