The period of registration card of registered Afghan refugees has been extended by 6 months. According to the sources, the caretaker federal cabinet approved the circulation summary, the extension of POR will be applied to registered Afghan refugees and their families.
Ministry of External Affairs and Home Affairs had recommended extension of POR period, sources said Directorate of Military Operations suggested extension of POR period till December 31.
The extension of POR will be applicable from July 1 to December 31, 2023. According to sources, the registration card period for registered Afghan refugees expired on June 30,The number of Afghan refugees registered in Pakistan is more than 13 lakh.
