The Sindh Cabinet has approved Rs 2 billion 70 crore funds for the purchase of military grade weapons while deciding to conduct an operation against dacoits in Kacha.
In the meeting of the Provincial Cabinet chaired by the Sindh Chief Minister, the Interior Secretary and the IG Police while giving a briefing to the Cabinet said that police and military grade weapons are needed in the Kutch area and 2 billion 70 crore rupees are needed for the purchase of weapons.
The Cabinet, while approving the purchase of arms, said that there would be a joint operation against dacoits in Kutch, in which the Rangers and Army would also participate along with the police.
Chief Minister Sindh says that this will be a joint and pre-planned operation. The IG Police will start the operation with his own plan.
