Before the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, internal and external roads of Lahore have been closed off by placing containers.
Both sides of the roads leading from Rawalpindi Bridge in Shahdara to Minar-e-Pakistan, as well as outside the Datta Darbar, have been sealed off with containers. Additionally, containers have also been placed outside the DCO office to block the road leading to Minar-e-Pakistan.
The Lahore police have taken custody of the containers entering the city and parked them at various locations. As the police sealed off the internal and external roads of the city, they also confiscated keys from the container owners’ drivers.
One truck driver said, “When we entered the city at night, the police forcefully made us park the containers at various locations. We were instructed to keep the containers standing without compensation until 12 pm tomorrow.”
