During the hearing of a suo motu case in the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial clarified the criticism he faced for calling former Prime Minister and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, a ‘good to see you.’ Chief Justice made these remarks during the hearing of the case. Addressing Advocate Asghar Sabzwari, Chief Justice said, “I am pleased to see you. It has been a while since you appeared in my court.”
Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial stated that he respects everyone. Etiquette and manners are essential for everyone; there is no enjoyment without etiquette and manners.
It should be noted that during the hearing related to Imran Khan’s arrest in the Supreme Court in the past few days, Chief Justice made these remarks about Imran Khan’s court appearance. During the hearing, Chief Justice addressed Imran Khan and said, “I am pleased to meet you.”
