Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has formed a legal team for the repatriation of Nawaz Sharif.Amjad Parvez and other lawyers who pursue Nawaz Sharif’s cases are also part of the legal team.
Federal Minister for Law, Nazeer Tarar, will lead the legal team, while Special Assistants Ataullah, Irfan Qadir, and the legal advisor are also part of the committee.
The legal team includes Amjad Parvez and other lawyers who will pursue Nawaz Sharif’s cases.
Sources indicate that the legal team will expedite the proceedings of ongoing cases in Nawaz Sharif’s courts, accelerate work to address his disqualification and conclude the cases.
Sources also suggest that the legal team will play a role in eliminating hurdles for Nawaz Sharif’s repatriation.
It is worth noting that previously, the Law Minister Nazeer Tarar stated that all legal obstacles for Nawaz Sharif’s return had been removed, and consultations were underway to lead Nawaz Sharif’s electoral campaign.
The Law Minister also mentioned that the doctrine of necessity was not a valid law, as individuals convicted of murder become eligible for assembly membership five years later.
Nazeer Tarar further stated that Nawaz Sharif’s lawyers will decide whether or not to seek bail for his repatriation.
