PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has stated that the budget scheduled for June 9 had already included an additional tax of 215 billion rupees, and the IMF does not have confidence in Asad Umar.
Speaking to the media at his residence in Multan, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said, “I have moved beyond positions and tickets. Many workers are imprisoned for the crimes of May 9, even though they were not involved in those events. Our legal team is providing free legal assistance to our workers.”
The PTI Vice Chairman further stated that according to the Constitution, the assembly’s term will be completed in August, after which elections will be held. It remains to be seen whether PML-N and PPP uphold the Constitution or not.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated that the budget presented on June 9 was different, but the approved budget includes an additional tax of 215 billion rupees. A 5% excess duty is being imposed on fertilizer, and the government has also rejected the condition of reducing the IMF’s expenses of 285 billion rupees. The IMF does not have confidence in Asad Umar, so he should resign and hand over the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance to someone else.
The PTI leader said that there is concern about the meeting between Modi and the US President. Neither of them discussed ending terrorism nor mentioned the Kashmir issue. Instead of providing an answer, the Prime Minister is talking about mangoes in France.
