Host India has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup. The Indian Cricket Board has announced the team for the World Cup on their social media accounts.
According to the BCCI, Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in the upcoming scheduled World Cup matches, while other players in the squad include former captain Virat Kohli, Shibman Gull, Shreyas Lyer, Ishan Kishan, and KL Rahul.
Vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Surya Kumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav are also part of the 15-member squad.
Apart from this, Shardal Thakur, Akshar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Mohammad Siraj are also included in the Indian team for the World Cup.
It should be noted that this year’s ODI World Cup is going to start from October 5 in India. In the event, Pakistan will play its first match against Netherlands on October 6.
The match between Pakistan and India is scheduled on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
