The journey of the iconic character ACP Pradyuman in the globally renowned Indian TV show CID has come to an end.
According to Indian media reports, the trailer of CID‘s new edition has been released on Netflix, which shows the death of ACP Pradyuman. The trailer begins with a blood-soaked hand of the ACP, featuring his iconic ring.
Inspector Abhijeet is seen in shock upon witnessing ACP’s bloodied hand, while Inspector Daya and the entire CID team can be seen crying.
After watching the trailer, fans expressed intense anger and sorrow on social media.
Social media users stated that the producers made a completely wrong decision by ending such a famous and legendary character, saying that the show is incomplete without ACP Pradyuman.
Some users were still hopeful that what the trailer suggested might not be true in reality.
Following the trailer’s release, Indian television confirmed that ACP Pradyuman, played by Indian actor Shivaji Satam, will no longer be a part of CID in the future.
ACP Pradyuman has been a part of the Indian TV show CID since 1998, and for the past 27 years, the character was portrayed by actor Shivaji Satam.
In the past, during ACP’s absence, Inspector Abhijeet was seen leading the CID team, but now a young ACP named Ayushmaan will be leading the CID team.
According to Indian media, the role of ACP Ayushmaan will be played by Indian actor Parth Samthaan.
