Indian singer Arijit Singh has returned to playback singing and is set to make his comeback with a new Bollywood soundtrack.
According to Indian media reports, Arijit has lent his voice to “Yeh Awarapan”, the first song from the upcoming film “Awarapan 2.” The track reunites him with producer Vishesh Bhatt, while the music has been composed by Amaal Mallik.
The song is scheduled to be released on all major streaming platforms on July 21.
Reports say Vishesh Bhatt wanted the song to reflect the emotional journey of Emraan Hashmi’s character, Shivam Pandit, and believed Arijit Singh’s voice was the perfect fit for the role.
Earlier this year, Arijit Singh had announced on Instagram that he was stepping away from playback singing, a decision that disappointed many of his fans. His return is now being welcomed as exciting news for music lovers.
