Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in parts of Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir today.
According to the Met Office, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas and surrounding areas of Sindh may receive heavy rainfall.
Light rain or drizzle is also expected in Karachi, which could bring relatively cooler weather to the city.
The department has further forecast heavy rain in Dera Ghazi Khan and northeastern Balochistan, warning of possible flooding in local streams and seasonal waterways.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, stay away from low-lying areas and flood-prone streams, and follow official weather advisories.
